The sheriff is also responsible for Ada County Misdemeanor Probation, runs the county-wide 911 Emergency Dispatch Center and fulfills a variety of other statutory and cooperative duties. Sheriff Clifford has worked as patrol deputy, K9 handler, patrol sergeant, transports sergeant, and as a lieutenant who served as Chief of Eagle Police during his two decades with the ACSO before he assumed the role of sheriff.
